Bollywood returns to Darjeeling

Within days of the West Bengal government to reach agreement Janamukti Gorkha Mørch (GJM), a picturesque back to Bollywood film shoot in Darjeeling Hills Wednesday after an eight-year gap.

The film is a romantic mystery and will be shot in various parts of Darjeeling in two segments.

The first segment is the end of June, while the second segment begins with the shooting last week of August and continues until mid-September.

Many nationally and internationally acclaimed film is shot in Darjeeling, including Satyajit Ray 'Kanchenjunga' Saif Ali Khan's "Parineeta" and Anjan Dutta is a "Chalo Lets Go".

But both Hindi and Bengali films shooting stopped after Bimal Gurung-led GJM organized violent movement to create a separate state of Gorkhaland.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee 7 June, has this issue been resolved and signed a separate Gorkhaland. However, GJM said that it did not go back to the demand, and the agreement as "the basis for a separate state."
