Jayanthi Natarajan: promoted



Unaffected by a probe against her in connection with a scam to the tune of RS300 crore in Chennai, Jayanthi Natarajan moves on the ministerial ladder as a minister with independent charge. Congress spokesman Jairam Ramesh will be replaced by MoS for Environment and Forests

Jairam Ramesh: promoted



After fighting problems in different countries within Lavasa, Jaitapur and POSCO project as Minister of Environment and Forests with independent charge, Jairam Ramesh has been bumped up a cabinet rank and will now manage the countryside.


Salman Khurshid: promoted



Salman Khurshid replaces Veerappa Molly as the minister for law and justice. He will continue with additional costs of the minorities to keep things. Khurshid was previously responsible for water resources.

Jitendra Singh promoted



Singh comes from the royal family of Alwar and a close associate of Rahul Gandhi. Another rookie in the cabinet, Singh will be Interior Minister, and will work closely with P Chidambaram
