Singanamala film producer Ramesh, who wanted more of cheating and fraud, was arrested Sleuth investigation department (CID) in Chennai on Friday.
Ramesh is very much Bhanu Kiran, prime accused in the murder of the leader group Maddelacheruvu Suri, who is on the run.
CID officials said Ramesh Reddy Vijayanthi allegedly defrauded the complainant to the tune of Rs 14.69 crore.
"Ramesh first loan of Rs 7.62 crore from Rs10.50 crore, and then by the complainant. He recovered Rs 3.42 crore by more than three apartments in Hyderabad, but to pay the outstanding balance," Additional Director General of Police (CID ) SV Ramana Murthy, said in a statement.
"If Vijayanthi Ramesh and his wife pressed for money, he called them at Film Nagar Balaji Colour Lab, which is owned jointly by him and by Kalyan Childress Lara Bhanu Kiran, some threatened to remove them if they continued to press for return of Rs 14.69 crore, "Rama Murthy said.
Ramesh was questioned by CID officers was conducted in Chennai and looking at different houses it owns.
He has produced and brought to court in Chennai Hyderabad a transit warrant.
CID officials said, cheating Ramesh, Mohammed Ashraf, managing partner of Shalimar Video company promises to give it a VCD and DVD film rights Komarampuli.
