Mumbai, July 27 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) Item girl Rakhi Sawant will host a chat show ‘Gajab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaaniyaan’ on Imagine TV. The show, produced by UTV, is a showcase of strange stories that highlight the wacky lives and strange beliefs that exist in India.
“The show will bring together the funniest stories from across the country; stories that will leave you holding your tummy in laughter and your head in disbelief!” said a channel spokesperson.
“Ever heard of a man who has not taken bath for 37 years, or two families who combat each other and use ghosts as their weapons, or a woman who prefers to stay perched on a cell phone tower for days, to avoid getting married to a man her parents chose!” said the spokesperson.
As the host of the show, Rakhi will bring these stories to the viewers in her trademark, over-the-top style.“I am elated to be back at doing what I do best – Entertain! My audience loves me and so do I. This time around I will be host of the baap of all shows, where you will witness some of the most bizarre incidents that are sure leaved you shell-shocked and rolling on the floor in splits of laughter. All I can say is ‘It Happens only in India’,” said Rakhi.
Rakhi Sawant is hosting a new show, ‘Ghajab Desh Ki Ajab Kahini’ and she has laid an exorbitant demand to the producer. She has demanded heavy accessories and costly wardrobe. Rakhi has also demanded C-string panties in three colors, red, green and purple which are very popular in Hollywood but rarely available in India. Rakhi has also threatened the channel to walk out of the show if her requirements are not fulfilled.
A source from the production house told, "Rakhi, who's hosting the show, put forth her demands in terms of clothes and accessories. The cost of her wardrobe is around Rs 70 lakh, way beyond what we had expected it to be. We are still negotiating. As if all this wasn't enough, Rakhi recently read a lot about C-string and wants them to be included in her clothes. While her clothes aren't a problem, getting a C-string is difficult. It's not available in the Indian markets yet, but she has issued us an ultimatum and will refuse to shoot unless she gets them."
Speaking on the launch of the show, Mr. Santosh Nair, CEO, TV Content – UTV said, “Rakhi is definitely the ideal choice for the host, someone who will bring in an element of humour and entertainment, in her own unique style!”

Katrina Kaif is the most talked about Bollywood actress these days. She is in great demand. If there’s one actress that seems to have got the Midas touch in the industry, it’s got to be Katrina Kaif and she has reaffirmed this with the success of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. And more than being the first choice of filmmakers, the diva is now proving to be a lucky charm for her co-stars too.
Recently, we overheard co-star-cum-ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor talking about Kat’s unmistakable charm. He said that probably her astrological her chart is so good that it works its magic on other actors too. While so far it was believed that only soap queen Ekta Kapoor checks the kundalis of actors before signing them, post the success of ZNMD, a lot of other directors seem to have followed suit. Sources say that many filmmakers are actually enquiring about Kat’s birth time and place to check if it is her sheer
luck or the script that is doing wonders. Whatever the reason, with a series of successful films in her kitty, she has sure earned herself a rock solid super star status.
Understandably, Katrina is glowing with all the applause coming her way. “I know critics have loved my films and as for me, I’m humbled. But what matters to me more is the audience’s reaction!” The actress admits that this is the best phase of her life. With the entire top-notch clan of Khans, Kapoors, Kumars and the Roshans vying for her attention, Katrina’s zindagi seems to have it all.
Abhishek Bachchan is quite busy these days! Well, it has nothing to do with Aishwarya and her health. It is related to Abhi’s professional side, these days the actor is being addressed as the item boy of town.
Apparently, songs like 'One Love' (2004), 'Dus Bahane' (2005), 'Right Here Right Now' (2005), 'Mission Istanbul' (2008) and 'Thayn Thayn' (2011) in his kitty, experts in town say that Abhishek has well established himself as the ever evolving, original item boy of Bollywood.
Talking about this new tag attached to him, Abhishek says, "I definitely think that item songs are a lot of fun to do, I enjoy the beat and the pace and sometimes the singing too. I have enjoyed doing all of them, but strangely I've never looked at them as item numbers."
With this he even stated that he would like to do item numbers only if they make any sense and suit his taste. Currently the actor is busy with his upcoming ventures like, “Players”, “Bol Bachchan”, “Dhoom 3”, and “Dostana 2”.
Not only films, Junior B is also quite active in the commercial world. We hope you guys have must seen him lending a helping hand in population control via Idea 3G. Must say that Sir Ji’s idea is really rocking! As of now Abhi is making a fine balance between the ad and film world! Well, we hope that this multi tasking of his brings out good results!
