Audience not READY for anything else!

As we had speculated in our box-office report, again, there is Anees Bazmee is clear that is still the first choice of the audience, despite five new films!

Barring BIN BULAYE BARAATI in the north, and particularly on single screens Elsewhere, the rest of the releases, BHEJA 2 Fry, ALWAYSE KABHI KABHI, BHINDI BAAZAAR INC. .. CYCLE KICK and have had a dull start. Relatively speaking BULAYE BARAATI BIN had a 55 to 60 percent of the single screens while BHEJA Fry 2 and ALWAYSE KABHI KABHI is languishing behind with about 15 to 25 percent at the start of multiplexed. The situation is not expected to improve over the weekend a lot.

Coming back to READY, has Asin-Salman sedge added well in excess of 30 crores in the second week, and now the network has more than 100 crores in just two weeks!

Get Ready for some wholesome entertainment

Filmmaker JP Dutta recently defended Dabangg winning the National Award for wholesome entertainment saying, “I think Dabangg is the perfect wholesome entertainer. It propagates family values. It shows the alcoholic father sacrificing his life when he feels he’s coming in the way of his daughter’s life. And it shows step-brothers uniting as one force to protect the family.” Using these remarks as the yardstick, there is no way that Ready can’t win the National Award for wholesome entertainment in 2011.
