Brook was born and raised in Rochester, Kent, England. She has a daughter, Sandra, a cook, and Kenneth Parsons, scaffolding. She has a younger brother Damien and Her older sister, Sasha . Kenneth died of lung cancer at age 57 in Rochester November 26, 2007, when Brook Strictly Come Dancing.
